John Spier Commits Suicide in Fayette Co. Rev. John Spier, for many years a well known minister at the North Georgia Conference, committed suicide at his home at Fife, Fayette county, Tuesday. Mr. Spier had been in failing health for several years, causing his retirement from the conference, which together with the fact that he is the father of several sons subject to conscription, caused him to commit the rash act.
