WALKER B.J. ( "Uncle" Bart) Walker was born June 18, 1841 in Fayette County, Georgia and departed this life September 27, 1922, age 81 years, three months and 9 days. He joined the Missionary Baptist church early in life and remained a faithful member until his death. Was married to Miss Lucinda Thompson in 1861 and to this union were born two children, both of whom preceeded their father to the great beyond. His second marriage was to Miss Sophia Smith in 1866 and to this union was born one daughter, now departed. He leaves besides his wife, two sisters and one brother to mourn his death. His body was laid to rest in the cemetery at Bethsadia, the funeral service being conducted by Rev. W.J. Campbell. Written by his brother, J.P. Walker, Hightower, Ala.
