Griggs in the Holy State of Matrimony, according to the Constitution and laws of this State, and for so doing this shall be your sufficent License. Recorded Nov. 26, 1868 Edward Connor, Ex. Office Clk. C. O. Note: M. S. Griggs was Milly/Millie S. Griggs, daughter of Rhodum M. Griggs and first wife, Hepzibah Jones. (Milly was also the half-sister of my grt. grandfather, James Neal Griggs). The Abercrombie's and Griggs' were closely associated and moved westward into Alabama. Milly married #2. Nathaniel Green Skidmore on the 21 August 1902. She was Nathaniel's fifth wife. I believe Milly (Griggs) Skidmore to be buried in an unmarked grave in the Oleander Methodist Church Cemetery in Marshall County, Al.
