Item 1: It is my will and desire that my body be buried in a Christianlike manner, the place and details of which I leave to my wife. Item 2: It is my will and desire that all of my just debts be paid as soon as practicable after my death. Item 3: I will, bequeath and devise all of my property, both real and personal, of whatever kind, and whereever situated, to my beloved WIFE, MARY T. THORNTON, for her use and benefit for and during her natural life. Item 4: At the death of my said wife, I desire that Irene Simpson, have and I do so will to her, MY DAUGHTER, IRENE SIMPSON, (85) eighty-five acres of land, known and described as follows; lying and being in the 1248 District, G. N. Fayette County, and on the south side of the tract of land known a the Paul Favor place, the lines and subdivision to be made hereafter. Item 5: I will and bequeath (85) eighty-five acres of land to my DAUGHTER MAUD BABB; described as following, in the center of tract of land known as the Paul Favor place, in the 1248 District, G. N. of Fayette County, subdivision to be made and lines to be established. Item 6: I will that my DAUGHTER RUTH ORR have (85) eighty-five acres of land on the north side of the Paul Favor place, situated in the 1248 District G. N. of said county, subdivision and lines to be made. Item 7: I will and bequeath to my SON CHARLES THORNTON, one hundred acres of land in the 709 District G. N. of Fayette County, KNOWN AS THE JORDAN THORNTON HOME PLACE. I desire that my said son Charlie, pay to my estate $200.00 two hundred dollars, as the difference in said land and the land given to my other children. Item 8: I will that my DAUGHTER MARY MCLCENNEY have MY HOME PLACE consisting of my home house and (40) forty acres of land in the 1248 District G. N. of Fayette County, where I now reside and $500.00 five hundred dollars. Item 9: I will that my DAUGHTER HESTER COLEMAN have (48) forty-eight acres of land in the 1248 District, G. N. of Fayette County, known as the Boyd place, and two hundred dollars in money. Item 10: I hereby make my son, Charlie Thornton, Executor of this will, and I relieve him from making any inventory or giving any bond.
