Ward, John O. Brown and James G. Morris, securities, are held and firmly bound unto Edward Connor, Ordinary in and for the county, and his successors in office, in the sum of Sixteen hundred dollars to the payment of which well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators of us and each of us, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Subscribed with our Hands and sealed with our Seals, this 14th day of December Eighteen Hundred and Sixty five. The Condition of the Above Obligation is Such That whereas the above bound John M. Ward has this day applied to Edward Connor, Ordinary of said county for, and obtained Temporary Letters of Administration of the goods and chattels, rights and credits of Miles Ward, deceased: now if the above bound John M. Ward shall carefuly collect and preserve from waste or loss all the goods, chattels and effects of the said Miles Ward, deceased, and shall make or cause to to be made a true and perfect inventory of all such Estate, and the same being so preserved, do render up such Estate and Effects with the inventory aforesaid unto the legal and proper administrator on or befoe the first Monday in February next or so soon thereafter as the Court of Ordinary shall direct, with all his other actings and doings therein, and faithfully perform the trust reposed in, then this obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue in Law. Ward for Temporary Letters of Administration on the Estate of Miles Ward late of said county, deceased, being before me for action and being satisfied that his application should be granted. It is ordered that Temporary Letters of Administration on said Miles Ward's Estate issue to said John M. Ward, his giving bond and security in the sum of sixteen hundred dollars with John O. Brown and James G. Morris as his securities and take the usual oath of office. It is also further ordered that John C. Brassell, Thomas C. Matthews, R. R. Rogers, Willis Brassell, and James G. Ward, Administrator, of the goods, chattels and credits of Miles Ward, deceased, do make, or cause to be made, a true and perfect inventory of all and singular, the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased, which have or shall come to the hands, possession or knowledge of the said John M. Ward Greeting Whereas it has been represented to me that Miles Ward late of said county, deceased, died intestate, and whereas it is further represented that the said Miles Ward at the time of his death was possessed of considerable Personal Property, and whereas it is further represented to me that there is great danger of waste of the said Estate, for want of due legal administration being had on the same, and whereas, by the statutues of this state, the Ordinary has the power of granting temporary Letters of Administration, etc. Known all men to whom these presents shall be made known, That I, Edward Connor, Ordinary in and for said county have this day appointed John M. Ward Temporary Administer of all and singular, the goods and chattels, rights and credits of the said Miles Ward, deceased, temporarily, and until the next Term of the Court of Ordinary, or until a regular administrator is appointed by said Court to collect, take care of and preserve farm waste the Real and Personal Estate of the said Miles Ward, deceased, in terms of law, to the use benefit and behoof of those who have a right thereunto; and you the said John M. Ward will take into your hands and possession, and keep safe from any waste, all the goods and chattels, rights and credits of him the said Miles Ward, deceased, until due and legal administration can be had, and that you do make or cause to be made a true and perfect inventory of all and singular, the goods and chattels, rights and credits of the said Miles Ward, deceased, and the same being so made you return unto the ordinary's office on or before the first Monday in February next, and lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint you the said John M. Page 351 Jany. 12th, 1866 ___________________________________________________ State of Georgia, Fayette County By the Court of Ordinary for said county where as Miles Ward late of Fayette County, deceased, died intestate, having while he lived and at the time of his death divers Estate real and personal, within the said state by mean whereof the full disposition and power of granting the administration of the Estate of the said deceased and also a final dismission from the same to the court aforesaid does of right belong. and they desirous that the same may well and truly administered and legally disposed of, do hereby grant unto John M. Ward, Administrator, full power by the tenor of these presents, to administer the entire Estate both real and personal of said deceased which to him in his lifetime and at the time of his death did belong and to ask, demand, (so?) for recover and receive the same and to pay the debts in which the deceased stood bound.
