Lyle to Radford Ellis No. 878 & 922 in 3-4 Georgia, Floyd County This Indenture made this the fifteenth day of February in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and forty eight between Pleasant R. Lyle of the one part and Radford Ellis of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Pleasant R. Lyle for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said Radford Ellis at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold and conveyed and doth grant bargain & sell unto the said Radford Ellis his heirs & assigns two certain forty acre lots of land lying and being in the third District of the Fourth Section formerly Cherokee but now Floyd County and known in plan of said District by number (878) eight hundred and seventy eight & (922) nine hundred and twenty two containing each forty acres more or less to have and to hold the same bargained premises with all its rights & appurtenances thereunto to his and their own proper use benefit forever in fee simple and the said Pleasant R. Lyle his heirs executors & administrators & assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title of the above named premises unto the said Radford Ellis his heirs executors administrators & assigns against the claim of themselves and against the claim or claims of all and every other person or persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof the said Pleasant R. Lyle hath hereunto set his hand and affix his seal. Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of Peter Youngblood Pleasant R.
