This indenture made the fifth day of December eighteen hundred fifty one 
between Pleasant R. Lyle of the one part and Radford Ellis of the other part 
both of the County & State aforesaid Witnesseth that the said Pleasant R. Lyle 
for and in consideration of the sum of fifteen dollars to him in hand paid at 
and before the sealing and delivery of the presence the receipt whereof is here 
by acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and doth by these 
presence grant bargain sell & covey unto the said Radford Ellis his heirs and 
assigns a certain parcel of land lying & being in the third district of the 
fourth section formerly Cherokee now Floyd County it being the North half of 
lot No. 923 nine hundred twenty three in said district containing twenty acres 
more or less running a line threw center of said lot east and west. To have and 
to hold the said bargained premises unto his and there own proper use benefit 
and behoof forever in fee simple and the said Pleasant R. Lyle for himself his 
heirs executors & administrators will warrant and forever defend the rite & 
title thereof unto the said Radford his heirs executors administrators & 
assigns against the claim of themselves and against the claim of all and every 
other person Whatsoever lawfully claiming the same whereof the said Pleasant R. 
Lyle hath hereunto set his hand & affixed his signed sealed & delivered in 
presence of
