Hasting D. Palmer to			State of Georgia Floyd County
Radford Ellis for			
Lot 880, No. 3.4

This Indenture made the twenty first day of October 1848 made and entered into 
between H. D. Palmer of the State of Mississippi, Atela County of the one part 
and Radford Ellis of the County of Floyd and State of Georgia of the other part 
Witnesseth that the said Hasting D. Palmer for the sum of sixty dollars to him 
in at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt 
thereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained, sold, alienated, 
conveyed and confirmed and by these presents hath granted bargained sold and 
conveyed unto the said Radford Ellis his heirs and assigns all that tract or 
parcel of land lying and being in the third District and fourth section 
formerly Cherokee now Floyd County known and distinguished by number eight 
hundred and eighty (880) which will show from a plat of the same to have and to 
hold the said tract or parcel of land and the appurtenances thereof containing 
forty acres more or less to his own proper use benefit and behoof of him the 
said Radford Ellis to his heirs executors administrators the said bargained 
premises or land unto the said Radford Ellis his heirs, executors and 
administrators and assigns against the said Hasting D. Palmer his heirs, 
executors and administrators and all and every other person or persons shall 
and will warrant and forever defend from every person or persons whatsoever.  
In Witness the said twenty first day and year above written.
