Written: December 17, 1833

This Indenture made the seventeenth day of December in the year of our Lord one 
thousand eight hundred and thirty three between Joel Rivers of the County of 
Wilkerson & State of Georgia of the one part and James Ellis of the County of 
Floyd & State aforesaid of the other part.  Witnesseth that the said Joel 
Rivers for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred to him in hand paid 
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained & sold 
released & conveyed & by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, release & 
convey unto the above named James Ellis his heirs executors, administrators & 
assigns forever a certain lot of land lying being & situated in the fourth 
section and sixteenth district of originally Cherokee County now Floyd 
&distinguished in plan of said district by Lot number ninety nine (99) together 
with all & singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging.  To have & to hold 
the above mentioned lot of land with all & singular the appurtenances thereunto 
belonging, and I the said Joel Rivers do warrant & defend the above named lot 
of land from me my heirs executors administrators & assigns and the right of 
any other person whatsoever unto the said James Ellis his heirs executors 
administrators & assigns in fee simple.   In witness whereof I have hereunto 
set my hand & seal the date above written.
