The popular stockman and lover of fine horses, Mr. A. F. Ross, has him. Fairest is his name. The horse trotted a quarter of a mile in a race in the same time of Maud S - 31 seconds; a half-mile in a race, 1:06; and three trial miles in 2:19 each. He is a young horse, and this fall a wonderful record is expected of him. His sire is McCurdy's Hambletonian, 2:26, half-brother to Maud S. Dam, Georgia Goddust, 2:33. The horse is a medium-sized, splendidly muscled fellow.
