Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Landrum have returned to their home at Tampa, Fla., after several days visit to Mrs. Ernest Burton. Mrs. Linder Johnson and children, of Rome, have returned home after a pleasant visit to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Chapman. Miss Jessie Mae McKenzie is able to be up again after a severe attack of grippe. Mr. Gradly Broom is at home after a visit to relatives in Gadsden, Alabama. Miss Agga Mae Morrison, of Thomas, spent the weekend with Miss Hattie Broom. Mr. Dock Jones and Miss Bessie Holtzclaw were pleasantly entertained Sunday evening at the home of the Misses Whisenant. Mr. Algie McKenzie spent the holidays with relatives in Chattanooga. Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Ball and children spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Hudson. Mr. Joll Scoggins, of Rome, called to see Miss Mable Corbin Sunday. Miss Mable Barton, of Everett Springs, spent last week wtih Misses Pearl and Mattie Barton. Misses Cleramie King and Annie Moore who are teaching school at Warren spent Sunday here with home folks. Mr. and Mrs. W. N. Horton have as their guest, Mrs. Buford Floyd and little son, of Plainville. Miss Lottie Merritt Davis had as her guest Sunday, Miss Davis and Miss Yancey of Rome. Mr. Lindsay Wright and Miss Bernice Hall attended the singing at Piney Sunday. Miss Cleo Broom spent Friday night with Miss Zula Burton. Mr. Farris Horton has returned from a business trip to Detroit, Mich. Mr. C. T. Crozier, M. K. Ball and W. M. McKenzie are attending court in Rome this week. Miss Alpha Mae Broom spent Tuesday night with Mrs. A. L. Broom. Mr. W. Fife has been very sick the past week. Mr. Walter Jones spent the weekend with Mr. Marvin Jones at Armuchee. Messrs. Albert and George Hudson are at work in Chattanooga. Misses Eddie and Verah Touchstone were in Rome last week. Mr. Tom Pierce is anticipating purchasing a new Ford. Miss Eula Lee Franks is teaching school at Crystal Springs. Miss Eula Jackson spent Saturday and Sunday with Miss Grace House. Miss Grace Morrison spent the weekend with Mrs. Morrison at Thomas. Mrs. Fred Touchstone and children spent Tuesday with her mother, Mrs. Corbin. Mr. and Mrs. Batty Merkerson announce the birth of a daughter at their home. Mr. and Mrs. Grady McKenzie and children, of Subligna, are visiting Rev. and Mrs. W. M. McKenzie. Mr. John Davis, of Rome, called to see Miss Ruby Hall Sunday.
