E. E. Jones has returned from a business trip to New York city. Mr. C. E. Jackson, a popular railroad man from Chattanooga was in the city yesterday. Mrs. J. T. Alexander, of Augusta, is the guest of her son, V. M. Alexander at 204 Sixth avenue. Mrs. Halstead Smith, Halstead Jr., Holmes and Mable left for Menlo yesterday. They are to travel through the country. Messrs. St. Clair Mimms and Carrie Walker, of Calhoun, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. V. M. Alexander at 204 Sixth avenue. County School Commissioner J. D. Gwaltney went up to Popes Chapel last night to discuss educational matters with the good folks there. Mr. B. C. Cliff, private secretary to Col. A.
