Mr. Allen
  Oscar Larry Allen, 80, of 18 Ash St. died Sunday at his residence after
a long illness. Mr. Allen was born in Floyd County Oct. 16, 1916, son of
the late Zack Allen and Anna Johnson Allen. He was a member of
Riverside Baptist Church and prior to retirement was employed by
Celanese Fibers Corp.
  Survivors include his wife, Idele Rutledge Allen, to whom he was
married May 26, 1962, a son, Larry Chandler Allen, Acworth, a daughter,
Frances Gosnell, Rome, a sister Marian Biddle, Anniston, Ala, four
grandchildren, a great grandchild.
  Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Jennings Heritage Chapel
Funeral Home with the Rev. Ricky Hurst and the Rev. Bill Adams
officiating. Interment will be at East View Cemetery.
