Flanegan Atkins, July 22, 1843 - June 02, 1925 Funeral Services of Mrs. Juliet L. Adkins [sic], who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. F. H. Jones, on Howell Street Tuesday afternoon, were conducted from the Cross Roads church near Taylorsville, [Bartow County] Ga., Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock, by Rev. Ed Smith, assisted by Rev. Harrison Popham and Rev. O. E. Rutland. Interment was in the cemetery nearby. Mrs. Adkins [sic] were eighty-two years of age and had been a resident of Rome and Floyd country practically all of her life. She was the wife of G. M. Adkins [sic], who preceded her in death fifteen years ago. Mrs. Adkins [sic] was a woman of high Christian character, and led an exemplary life, having been a member of the Baptist church since eleven years of age. She has scores of friends throughout Rome and Floyd County who will be grieved to learn of her passing. The following [sic] children survived Mrs. Adkins [sic], all of whom were at her bedside when the end came, except a son living at West Palm Beach, Fla., who was unable to reach Rome. Mrs. S. A. Brock, Mrs. T. T. Jones, Mrs. F. H. Jones, all of Rome, A. A. Adkins [sic], formerly of Rome, but now of West Palm Beach, Fla.; Mrs. J. L. Heaton and J. S. York, of Ragland, Ala.; J. C. Adkins [sic] and Mrs. B. L. Osborn of Hartsell [sic]. Eight of Mrs. Adkins' [sic] grandsons were pall bearers. The floral offerings were many and beautiful, speaking the high esteem in which Mrs. Adkins [sic] was held. Daniel company, funeral directors, had charge of arrangements."
