Mrs. Burnham
   Mrs. Ola Beatrice Burnham, 78, 220 Chatillon Rd., died at 5:30
a.m. today in a Rome hospital.
   A native of Walker County, she was born Aug. 12, 1904, the 
daughter of the late John Edward and Lavada Fowler Manning. She
had been a resident of the area the greater part of her life and retired
from Celanese in 1967 after 37 years of service. She was a member
of the St. Luke United Methodist Church, Riverside.
  Survivors include a daughter, Kathryn M. Boggs, Rome; one brother,
William Howard Manning, LaFayette; four sisters, Janie Mae Nucholls;
LaFayette, Cora Bell Self, Summerville, Johnny Gilstrap and Kate Orr,
both of LaFayette; two granddaughters; and a great-grandson.
  Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the chapel of Daniel's 
Funeral Home with the Rev. Max Caylor officiating. Interment will follow
in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers include Henry Watwood,
Jimmy Keever, O. T. Self, Monte Wood, J. L. Battles and Roy Hart.
