Many Friends Are Shocked  By Death of John Barnes
 
John Barnes, age 56, died at his home on the Kingston
road, Tuesday at 12 o'clock, after a long illness. The
death of Mr. Barnes, who is well known in this
community, comes as a great shock to his many friends.

He is survived by three brothers, Henry, Will, and
Nathan Barnes, and one sister, Mrs. Lester Raper.

Funeral services were held from the Mizpah church,
Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment was in the
adjoining cemetery. (Note: died  May 29, 1928)
