Bing Charles Alexander Bing, farmer, of Rome Route 5, died this morning at his residence, after a lingering illness. He had been in declining health for the past 12 years. The son of the late Gabe and Rachel Hutto Bing, he was born in Bartow County Sept. 2, 1888, and had been a resident of Floyd County for the past 18 years. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, (Central War Time) from the Mizpah Methodist Church with the Rev. S. H. Pendley officiating. The intement will be in the family lot in the adjoining cemetery. Surviving Mr.Bing are his widow, the former Miss Willie Gilliam; one son, Gordon Bing, of Rome; two daughters, Mrs. W. P. Williams of Charleston, S. C. and Ann Bing of Rome; three brothers, Walt Bing, of Ft. Payne, Ala., Frank and William Bing of Fitzgerald, GA; one sister, Mrs. Viola Davis, of Anniston, Ala. The following will serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet at the Emmett Cole Funeral Home at l:15 o'clock. Allen Tolbert, Clayton Thomas, Linwood Brown, T.K. Fincher, Milton Jones and Otha Bing. The remains will lie in state at the Cole Funeral Home until time for the service.
