W. Boggs Funeral services for James Walter Boggs, 44, who died Friday night at his residence, 803 Ave. B, will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Pisgah Baptist Church. The Rev. H. F. Joyner and the Rev. H. E. Wright will officiate, with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Boggs had been ill for six weeks with a heart ailment. A resident of Floyd County all his life, he had lived in Rome for the past five years and was connected with the O'Neill Manufacturing Company. Surviving are his widow, the former Miss Ruth McCain, son Vaughn Boggs of Rome; two daughters, Mrs. John Byars, of Lavender Station, Miss Jewell Boggs of Rome; his mother, Mrs. L.J. Boggs of Rome; two brothers, H.F. of Rome, and G.W. Boggs of Texas Valley; a sister, Mrs. Emma Lee Johnson, of Rome. Pallbearers, who are requested to meet at the residence at 2:15 o'clock, will include W. H. Johnson, Robert Price, Charles Evans, Robert McCullough, Euen Tanner and O. S. Holcomb. (Note: died Feb. 24)
