Boggs, 82 Dies Sunday Mrs. Martha Boggs, age 83, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A.R. Johnson, in Glenwood, yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock, following a period of declining health, and a serious illness of the past 10 days. Mrs. Boggs was born in Adairsville on May 15, 1857, and moved to Floyd County at an early age, where she had resided ever since. She was the daughter of the late George and Malinda Barton Tolbert, and was the mother of the late J.W. Boggs, who preceded her in death in 1939, also the mother of the late Mrs. Minnie Dawson, who passed away in 1928. She was the widow of the late Lindsey Boggs, and is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Johnson; two sons, G.W. Boggs, of Texas Valley, and H. F. Boggs, of Glenwood; one brother, J.W. Tolbert, Oklahoma City; and a sister, Mrs. H. J. Green, of Rome. Twenty-one grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held from the Sand Springs Baptist Church this afternoon at 3 o'clock, with the Rev. W. F. Conn and the Rev. S.H. Pendley, officiating. The interment followed in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Farris Bell, Ben Thomason, L.F. Rhinehart, Joe Hawkins, Cliff Hicks and Clyde Widdows. (Note: died Apr. 14)
