Mrs. Boggs was born in Floyd County, April 4, 1893, the daughter of the late Melvin Green and Jennie Swafford Green. She was a life-time resident of Floyd County and a member of Armuchee Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Boggs, in 1961. Survivors include a son, Grady Boggs, Rome; five daughters, Mrs. Pansy Campbell, and Mrs. Elva Cordle, both of Texas Valley community; Mrs. Ruby Smith, Atlanta, Mrs. Avalene McGhee, Rome and Mrs. Katherine King, Dalton; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Armucheee Baptist Church with the Revs. Winston Barton and Bobby Stephens officiating. Interment will be at Sand Springs Cemetery in Texas Valley. Pallbearers are Tommy Cordle, Edwin Campbell, Mike Smith, Rick Cordle, Grady Boggs, Jr., Rob Settle, Bill Henderson and Don Coleman. (Note:died Sept. 19)
