Born March 10, 1922 to the late Ethan and Alice Forte Bennett, she was a member of Live oak Baptist Church in Cave Spring. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Raymond Castleberry of lake Charles, Jerry and Kelly Castleberry of Anchorage, AK, Steve Castleberry of Cave Spring, and Stan Castleberry of West Berrien; three daughters and son-in- law, Brenda McBrayer of Tifton, Kitty Ray of West Berrien, and Sheila and Gene Parker of Silver Creek; grandchildren, Lee McBrayer, Lori Jobe, Paul Castleberry, Karen Chung, Diana Taylor, Kim Ray, Parker Castleberry, Jey Castleberry, Lauren Porter, Mary Nathanson, Jeremy Parker, Joel Parker, Jake Parker, Michael Baldree, Chelle Kulgan and Billy Parker; 19 great- grandchildren; brother, H.C. Benett of Brookfield; two sisters, Iretha Luke of Sparks and Athene Exum of West Berrien; a special pet, Prissy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin J. "Buck" Castleberry; four brothers, W.J. "Boss" Bennett, Joe Bennett, L.K. Bennett and Wesley Bennett; five sisters, Nan Gaskins, Susie Sellars, Merle Pritchard, Odell Avery and Lola McCall. Funeral services were held January 17 at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Berry Snapp and Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. Music selections by Charles Connell were "Go Rest High on That Mountain" and "Some Call it Heaven, I Call it Home," Selections on CD were "Going Home" and "Winging my Way Back Home." Pallbearers were Jake Parker, Jeremy Parker, Joel Parker, Parker Castleberry, Jey Castleberry, Lee McBrayer. Purvis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
