Rome News Tribune August 21, 1900
John Cordle, Lavender Mountain, is sick with typhoid fever,
and not expected to live. Four children are also sick.
August 25, 1900 John Cordle, whose serious illness was
reported several days ago, died at his home on Wednesday
and was buried yesterday.Mr. Cordle lived near Lavender
Mountain and was held in very high esteem by all who knew him.
