Davis Passes; Funeral at 3 p.m. Today George Frank Davis, 67, widely known farmer of Robinson's Crossing community, died at the residence at an early hour Saturday. He was born in Rome, Feb. 6, 1882, son of the late George and Susie Buchanan Davis. He had been a resident of Floyd County the greater part of his life, and for a number of years was associated with the O'Neil Manufacturing Company. He was a member of the Mount Alto Baptist Church. Surviving are the widow, the former Fannie Lou Moss; three sons, Leon and B. F. Davis, of Rome, and Gordon Davis, of the U. S. Merchant Marines; three daughters, Mrs. Grady Brock, Mrs. Earl Jacks and Mrs. J. D. Reynolds, all of Rome; a brother, Paul Davis, of Rome, and a sister Mrs. Lizzie Proudfoot of Townsend, GA. Eleven grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in the Beech Creek Methodist Church with the Rev. W. O. Denson officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. The body will lie in state at Jennings Chapel until time for the services. Pallbearers meeting there at 2 p.m. include C. H. Holder, E. C. Cordle, A.L. Brock, A. B. Trapp, W. A. Ingram and Frank Horne.
