The Rev. Ed. Dempsey will officiate, with burial in the Cave Spring cemetery. A coroner's jury yesterday afternoon returned a verdict that Fountain had committed suicide. His body was discovered by Eugene Edgins and Hugh Dean when their attention was drawn by the strange actions of a bird-dog belonging to Fountain, who apparently was following the body. Officers Jenkins and Washington recovered the remains from the river at the east end of Fourth avenue. A brief suicide note is reported to have been found on the trestle near where the body was recovered. It stated "Jim Fountain in river", and was scribbled on a piece of old newspaper. It was stated by members of his family that Fountain had been suffering from ill health for some time, and had frequently threatened to kill himself. The following members of the Redmen Lodge, No. 99, of which the deceased was a member, will serve as pallbearers Cliff Spence, Luther Reeves, Jake Battle, Warner Thompson, Clyde Moore and Frank Battle.
