Ruby Franklin Young, Graveside services for Mrs. Ruby Franklin Young were at 2 
p.m. Saturday at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.  Mrs. Young, 84, of Valley Head, 
Ala., formerly of Rome died Thursday.  She was born in Walker County.  She was 
a longtime resident of Rome, of the Christian faith and was preceded in death 
by her husband, Jasper Thomas Young.  Survivors include: a son, Bobby Gene 
Young, Rome; two daughters, Laquinta Brown, Rome and Juanita Oliver, Valley 
Head; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren.  
Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the graveside 
of the Sulphur Springs Cemetery Burt Funeral Home was in charge of 
arrangements.  Fred Talley‘s Parkview Chapel Funeral Home makes this
