Broad Street, died at 2:20 p.m. Friday in a Rome Convalescent home following an illness of several years. Mrs. Hurley was born July 2, 1889 in Cherokee County Alabama, daughter of the late W. M. and Hester Webb Roberts but had resided in Floyd County the greater pat of her life. She was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church and her husband, William M. Hurley, Chief of Police at Tubize for many years preceded her in death Aug. 12, 1952. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ivanelle Boggs and Mrs. Ervin Weber both of Rome; one son, John B. Hurley Sr., Rome; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with the Revs. LeRoy Smith and Jack Atha officiating. Interment will be in East View Cemetery. Pallbeares include R.H. Harwell, Ben Mashburn, E. b. Morgan, Ralph Totes, Luther Trammell and Dewey Fowler. Jennings Funeral Home has charge of Arrangements.
