The Rev. Mark Trull will officiate. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Hurley, 79, of Spring wood Living Center died Wednesday afternoon at a Rome hospital. He was born in Cherokee County, Ala., Nov. 14, 1912, son of the late William Narvis and Effie Roberts Hurley. He was a member of St. Lukes United Methodist Church, a Red Cross volunteer at Floyd Medical Center, a former Justice of the Peace of Floyd County and served on the Governor's staff under Gov. Carl Sanders. He was employed by Celanese for 47 years. Survivors include: a son, John B. Hurley Jr., Tampa, Florida; a daughter, Mrs. Kathy Warman, Loganville; two sisters, Mrs Ivanell Boggs, Rome, and Mrs. Burt Weber, Rome; three grandchildren.
