Mr. Hurley
Funeral services for John Brandon Hurley will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the 
chapel of Daniel's Funeral Home.
The Rev. Mark Trull will officiate. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial 
Gardens.
Mr. Hurley, 79, of Spring wood Living Center died Wednesday afternoon at a Rome 
hospital. He was born in Cherokee County, Ala., Nov. 14, 1912, son of the late 
William Narvis and Effie Roberts Hurley. 
He was a member of St. Lukes United Methodist Church, a Red Cross volunteer at 
Floyd Medical Center, a former Justice of the Peace of Floyd County and served 
on the Governor's staff under Gov. Carl Sanders. He was employed by Celanese 
for 47 years.
Survivors include: a son, John B. Hurley Jr., Tampa, Florida; a daughter, Mrs. 
Kathy Warman, Loganville; two sisters, Mrs Ivanell Boggs, Rome, and Mrs. Burt 
Weber, Rome; three grandchildren.
