Mrs. Hyde was born in Bartow County Aug. 20, 1892, daughter of the late John and Victorie Penson. She resided much of her life in Floyd County where she was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and Ladies Sunday School. Her husband, William D. Hyde, Sr. died in 1952. A son, Raymond Hyde, died in 1973 and a second son, W. D. Hyde, Jr. died in 1962. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Edna Rogers, Rome. a s on, L. C. Cope, Rome; one sister, Mrs. Ruby Carter, Rome; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Jennings Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Willard Willis and Hoyt Coker officiating. Interment will be in Mizpah cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. today and at the residence at other hours. Pallbearers include Chester Rogers, Johnny Rogers, Billy Hyde, Franklin Penson, Jimmy Hyde and Doyal Penson.
