R.S. LACKEY OF ROME IS CALLED BY DEATH
  R.S. Lackey, 55 years of age, died at his home at 105 Calhoun Ave., in North 
Rome yesterday morning at 8:30 o'clock. Death followed an extended illness.
  Mr. Lackey is survived by his widow and six children; Mrs. Ida Grinel, of 
Atlanta; Mrs. Joe Gibbs, of Chattanooga; James Lackey, of Kentucky; and Dixie 
Johnny and Paul Lackey, of this city.
  The funeral will occur this afternoon at three o'clock at the Church of God, 
North Rome. Rev. S.W. Latimer, the pastor, will officiate. Interment will be 
at Oakland cemetery.
  The following gentlemen, who will act as pallbearers are asked to meet at 
the residence this afternoon: Will Atkinson, Will Henry, Julian Cantrell, Bud 
Padgett, Will Smith, Will Tillery.
