Rome News Tribune, Rome, Ga., March 27, 1987, page 1-A
George Terrell Lay, of 335 Ross St., passed away Thursday at the residence 
after an extended illness.  Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. 
at Thankful Baptist Church with Dr. Orlando Yates officiating.  Interment will 
be at Myrtle Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the residence. 
Survivors include one sister, Miss Sarah Ann Lay of Rome; two nieces, Mrs. 
Sarah William, Detroit, Mich. And Mrs. Thelma Johnson, Braddock, Pa.; two 
nephews, Oliver Lay, Dayton, Ohio, and Albert Lay, New Kensington, Pa.; host of 
other relatives and friends.  Family and friends are asked to assemble at the 
residence Sunday at 2:45 p.m. to leave for the funeral service.  Dozier
