Lumpkin Dies At South Rome Home B.F. Lumpkin died Thursday night at his home in South Rome, of a complication of diseases. Mr. Lumpkin was 60 years old. Mr. Lumpkin has resided here for many years and had many friends who will regret to learn of his death. He had been ill for several months but had been confined to bed for the past week. Mr. Lumpkin is survived by his wife, three daughters, Misses Myrtle, Jessie and Mrs. P.L. O'Bryant, of Atlanta; and four sons, Linton and J.B. Lumpkin, Jr. of Nashville; T.E. and Carl Lumpkin, of Rome. He is also survived by three brothers, S.B., Charles and Burt Lumpkin, and three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Chambers, Mrs. M.E. Jenkins, and Mrs. Joe Spence. The funeral services will be conducted from the residence at 137 South Broad street at 4 p.m., Rev. Ed. Smith officiating. The pallbearers will be Walter Deaken, Ike Colbert, Claude Chambers, Bart Watkins, Joe Duncan, J.D. Mathis. They will meet at Daniels' undertaking parlors.
