She was born October 19, 1914, in Floyd County, daughter of the late Willie and Lillie Green Wilson and had resided in Floyd County all of her life. She was a member of the New Armuchee Baptist Church, taught the Young People Sunday School Class for 15 years, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a past worthy matron, and prior to retirement in 1973 was employed by A and P Food Stores for 15 years. Survivors include her widower, James M. (Lanky) Landers to whom she was married in 1930; three sons, Herbert and Larry Landers, both of Armuchee, and Ladelle Landers of Villa Rica; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in New Armuchee Baptist with the Rev. Willard MacAllaster officiating, with interment in Sand Springs Cemetery. The body will be carried to the residence today to lie in state until l:30 p.m. Sunday when it will be carried to the church to lie in state until the funeral hour. Pallbearers include Larry Maxey, B.W. (Buck) Lingerfield, Edd Dempsey, W.D. (Pete) Landers, Billy Landers, Paul Webb, Dan Gray, and Jack Dollar, Jr. Honorary escorts include members of the Young People Sunday School Class of New Armuchee.
