H. Lanham (To) Be This Afternoon Funeral at Trinity Methodist; Beloved Roman Died Saturday Morning After Illness 3 Months Mrs. J. H. Lanham, beloved Roman, died Saturday morning at 11 o'clock at her home on the old Lindale road after an illness of three months. Mrs. Lanham was one of the most active members of the Trinity Methodist church and was a leader in all religious affairs. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was born December 31, 1863 in Polk County, near Rockmart. She was Miss Julia Thompson, daughter of Lucius and Julia Ann Davitte Thompson, prominent citizens of Bartow county. She married J. Henderson Lanham, well known Roman, January 5, 1887. Mrs. Lanham is survived by her husband, two sons, J. Henderson Lanham, Jr. and Felix Lanham; one brother, J. T. Thompson, of Rome, one step-brother, F. W. Smith, of Rome, and two sisters, Miss Eva Thompson and Mrs. A. J. Lanham, of Mt. Dora, Fla. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at Trinity Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Arthur Maness, pastor. Interment will be in Myrtle Hill cemetery. The following friends will act as pallbearers and are requested to meet at Daniel Company at 2:15 o'clock: Hugh McCrary, Will Hale, W. H. Culpepper, Charlie Morris, A. N. Harris, J. W. Winkle, L. N. Shahan, Sr. and G. W. Brock.
