Clinton Lifsey Slated J. Clinton Lifsey, 68, 1 Vassar Dr., died Saturday at 5:20 a.m. in a Rome hospital following a short illness. He was born in Meansville, Ga., son of the late Benjamin Nathan and Mary Jones Lifsey, and had resided in Rome since 1936. He was the assistant division manager of the Rome office of the Georgia Power Co. for 46 years, until his retirement in 1968. He was a member of the Second Avenue United Methodist Church, where he served on the Official Board and teacher of the Men's Bible Class for a number of years. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Salvation Army and the Rome Boys' Club, and had served as chairman of each for two and three years, respectively. He was also a member of the Rome Rotary Club and a life member and past president of the Northwest Georgia chapter of Professional Engineers. Survivors include his wife, the former Willlie King; two sons, William N. and J. C. Lifsey, Jr. both of Doraville; one brother, Harold Lifsey, Thomaston; four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Second Avenue United Methodist Church with the Revs. E.M. Nelson and Ernest Kendall officiating. Interment will be at 4 p.m. in the Riverside Cemetery, Macon. Pallbearers will be Fred Pass, H.M. Oldham, Bill Powell, Bob and Paul Ransom, Ed Swint, Joe Cordle and Floyd Outlaw. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Men's Bible Class of the Second Avenue United Methodist Church and Georgia Power employees. The body will lie in stae at the funeral home and the family will receive friends at the resident. Daniel's Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. (Note: died Feb. 27)
