H. MASSEY; DIES SATURDAY Funeral services for James Hiram Massey, 77, who died Saturday morning at 7 o'clock at his residence, 224 Cave Spring Street, will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home. The Rev. H. E. Wright will officiate, with interment in East View cemetery. Mr. Massey had been ill for three years and his condition became serious five weeks ago. He had been a resident of Rome and Floyd county for fourteen years, and prior to his illness was employed at Anchor Duck mill. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist church. Surviving Mr. Massey are his widow; three sons, Henry of Cartersville, G.E. of Rockmart, A.W. Massey of Rome; three daughters, Mrs. Estelle Plemmons, of Summerville, Misses Nellie and Julia Massey of Rome; and twelve grandchildren. Pallbearers will include J. A. Brown, Ray Cooley, W.H. Knowles, Robert Mathis, Roy Morris and Robert Sugua. (Note: Died April 9)
