Nichols, Traffic Fatality Funeral services for Andrew Jackson Nichols, who died Friday night in a local hospital of injuries sustained when crused between a truck and an automobile on Broad Street, were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the North Rome Methodist Church. The Rev. B.W. Hancock and the Rev. Theodore Phillips officiated, with interment in Spring Creek Cemetery. A duo including L.V. Barnett and Miss Jewel Bolt, accompanied by Miss Mary Barnett, sang "Precious Memories:, "God Be With You", and "I'll Meet You in the Morning". Mr. Nichols, who was 23, was jacking up a truck when an automobile said to have been driven by Herman Johnson, ran into the rear of the truck, pinning him between the machines. A warrant charging manslaughter was sworn out against Johnson and he was released by city police under a $l,000 bond. (Note:was born Dec. 7, 1916, died Feb. 3)
