J. Nichols Dies; Funeral at Spring Creek Thursday A. J. Nichols, 57, died Wednesday at 2:30 a.m. at his home in North Lindale after a long illness. Mr. Nichols was a member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church, having affiliated with this faith 22 years ago. He has resided at Lindale and Spring Creek for many years. Surviving besides his widow are the following daughters: Misses Annie Bell and Ozell Nichols, Lindale; Mrs. J. H. Luckett, Lindale; Mrs. Jim Dodd, Barnsley, and Mrs. . Pauline Litton of Nashville, Tenn.; three sons, A. J. and Sproull Nichols, of Spring Creek; five sisters, Mrs. D. L. Hennon, Mrs. W. E. Wingard, Mrs. W. H. Smith, of Rome; Mrs. Mary Thatcher, Paris, Tex., and Mrs. Jennie Rash, of Waco, Texas; two brothers, L.O. Nichols, of Spring Creek, and W. F. Nichols of Eldorado, Texas. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Spring Creek Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. K. C. Baker of Rome and interment will be at Spring Creek cemetery. The following nephews will act as pallbearers. Grover Hennon, Boyd Nichols, Curtis Nichols, Dick Connell, Paul Higgins and Glover Meeks. (Note died March 1, 1933)
