Warren, 69, of 803 Charlton Road, died Friday evening at a Rome hospital from injuries received in an automobile wreck. Mr. Warren was born in Clay County, Ala, May 5, 1918, son of the late George W. Warren and Minnie Gray Warren. He had been a resident of Floyd County for the past 25 years. He was retired from the Navy after 20 years of service and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Northwest Georgia Regional Hospital as a security guard. Mr. Warren was a member of Southwest Bapitst Church, LaGrange and Woodmen of the World. Survivors include two stepsons, Hubert L. Smith, Rome, and John Smith, Hinesville; four sisters, Ms. Thelma Warren and Ms. Ethel Warren, both of LaGrange; Mrs. Annie Laura Bowen, Roanoake, Ala., and Mrs. Euna Matthews, Thomaston; three grandsons. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Shadowlawn Cemetery, LaGrange, with the Rev. Jimmy Willis and the Rev. Roy Chatham officiating.
