Branton Is Laid To Rest in Spring Creek James Alexander Branton, 80, died suddenly at his home in Spring Creek Monday night at 9 o'clock. Mr. Branton is a prominent farmer of the Spring Creek section and had been living there about 43 years. He had a wide circle of friends all over the county who will mourn their loss. The deceased is survived by the following children, J.T., W. H., J. E., J.M. and J.M. Branton, and Mrs. Jack Nichols. One brother, E. T. Branton, and one sister, Mrs. Nancy Noles, also survive him as well as a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the Spring Creek Baptist Church at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Rev. J.E. Smith officiated. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery.(Note: Died August 17)
