Mrs. Owens was born in Bartow County Jan. 11, 1883. She spent most of her life in Floyd County. She was the daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. Isaac York. She was married to Arthur Owens August 298, 1907 who died in 1929. She was a member of the Cave Spring Baptist Church and the Dorcus Sunday School Class. Survivors include one son, Charlie P. Owens, Cave Spring, five daughters, Mrs. Lillie Mae Terry, Mrs. Ruth Brooks, Mrs. Lou Winnie Norton and Mrs. Kathryn Pledger, all of Cave Spring and Mrs. Kate Wilson, Rome, three half-brothers, Robert York, Cartersville, Isaac York, Silver Creek and Alec York, Rome, 10 grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today in Cave Spring Baptist Church with the Revs. Bill Givins and Franklin Thomas officiating. Interment was in Cave Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bill Owens, Jim Owens, Gordon Roberts, Jack Wheeler, Bobby King and Seab Evans.
