Padgett Died at Her Home Saturday Night Mrs. J.W. Padgett died Saturday night at 9:15 o'clock after a long illness at her home at the corner of Printup and North Broad St. bringing sorrow to her many friends and to the members of her family who survive her. Mrs. Padgett was 57 years of age and was a member of the Baptist faith. The funeral will take place from the North Broad Street Baptist church at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon, with the Rev. E. O. Rutland and Rev. A. B. Elizer officiating. She is survived by her husband, J.W. Padgett, two daughters, Mrs. O.C. Gunter of Los Angeles, Calif. and Mrs. John H. Wyatt of Leesburg, Ga., five sons, J. A., A.A., E. L., Hilliard and Barney Padgett of Rome The following friends have been asked to act as pallbearers, J.W. Russell, W.C. Atkinson, Tom Hasty, Jim Fields, J.O. Harris and William Payne.
