The Rev. Willard Willis will offficate. Interment will be at Pleasant Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Padgett, 68, of 705 McGee Bend Road, Cave Spring, died Wednesday at a Rome hospital after a long illness. She was born Feb. 19, 1922, in Polk County, daughter of the late Curtis Dobbs and Sara Stanford Dobbs. She had been a longtime resident of Floyd County where she was a member of The Light House Church of Rome. Survivors include; three sons, Richard Douglas Padgett, Rome, Joel Pat Padgett, Cave Spring, and Kenneth Ray Padgett; two daughters, Judy P. Kilgore, Armuchee, and Ann Guyton, South Carolina; a sister, Eula Dobbs, Rome; 11 grandchildren; a great-grandchild. (Note: Died May 9)
