Proctor Dies At Residence; Funeral Saturday Thomas Luther Proctor, age 72, a farmer of the Dykes Creek community died at his residence at 7:25 p.m. Thursday following an illness of three years. Mr. Proctor was born in Bartow County April 3, 1884, son of the late John Wesley and Frances Elizabeth Drummond Proctor. He had resided in Floyd County for 55 years, coming here from Bartow County. He was a member of Mizpah Methodist Church, Men's Bible Class, Men's Club of Mizpah Methodist Church, Woodmen of the World, and the Farm Bureau. Mrs. Proctor's wife, the former Georgia Willis, died on July 20, 1934. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Glen Craddock, Rome, Rt. 6, three sons, B.R. and J. W. Proctor of Rome, and G.W. Proctor, Moultrie, one brother, H.G. Proctor, Rome Rt. 6. Nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Mizpah Methodist Church. The Rev. J.W. Eberhardt and the Rev. J.R. Alred will officiate. Interment will be in Mizpah Cemetery. The body will be at Jennings Funeral Home until 1:30 p.m. Saturday when it will be removed to the church. Active pallbearers are: H.B. Emerson, C.T. Carver, W.J. Greene, J.M. Brown, A.A. Ward and Homer Black. Honorary pallbearers are: V.S. Hyde, Twiggs Honea, A.L. Fowler, Kirk Fisher, Jim Price, Lon Todd, C.E. Roberson, J.T. Leath, Olen Lumsden, H.G. Huckbee, Redmond Ransom, John Cussourt and Harry Floyd.
