Mrs. Proctor
Mrs. Grace Sharp Proctor, 95, of 21 Osford Place, Rome,
died Wednesday at a Rome hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Proctor was born in Floyd County, Aug. 23, 1902,
daughter of the late George W. Sharp and Elizabeth Gray
Sharp. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church and a
homemaker. Her husband, Hugh Proctor, whom she married
in January, 1927, died in October, 1947. Sur-vivors
include one son, John C. Proctor, Grayson; three
daughters, Elizabeth Henry, Louise Proctor and Paralee
Pappalardo, all of Rome; one brother, Harvey G. Sharp,
Shannon; one sister, Leon Sanders, Smyrna; seven
grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great
grandchild. Funeral services will be held Saturday at
11 a.m. at Jennings Funeral Home Heritage Chapel with
Dr. Charlie Bridges officiating. Interment will be at
Oostanaula Methodist Church Cem-etery. (Note: Grace
Proctor died July 29, 1998)
