The Rev. Roy Goolsby and the Rev. Bill Nicholson will officiate. Interment will be at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. Mr. Russell, 42, of 2607 Horseleg Creek Road died Wednesday afternoon from injuries sustained in an on-the- job mishap. He was born in Floyd County, Dec. 22, 1947, son of Lillian Ruth Griffin Russell and the late George N. Russell. He had been a longtime resident of Floyd County where he was a member of the Brethren Church. He was a veteran, having served with the Army in Vietnam. He was a member of Coosa Masonic Lodge No. 622 F& A.M. and was employed by Randy Acker Hauling Co. Survivors include: his wife, the former Jewell Ann Green, to whom he was married Dec. 22, 1967; three daughters, Angelia Russell, Christy Russell and Teresa Russell, all of Rome; his mother, Rome; a sister, Mrs. Frances Russell Shepard, Rome; two brothers, George Russell and David Russell, both of Rome; nieces and nephews.
