Annie Lora Smith, age 84, Rt. 5, Cedartown, died Saturday afternoon after an 
extended illness.  Mrs. Smith was born March 27, 1888 in Floyd County, and was 
a member of the Mountain Home Baptist Church.  She was proceeded in death by 
her husband Mr. Vince G. Smith, December 2, 1963.  She is survived by four 
daughters, Mrs. Elgin Edge, Mrs. Vera Lockridge, Mrs. Alene Dempsey, all of 
Cedartown and Mrs. Margaret Lock of Warren, Mich.; two sons, Mr. E. I. Smith, 
Marietta, GA., Mr. W. V. Smith, Columbus, GA.: one sister, Mrs. Ivon Jones, 
Chattanooga, Tenn.: one brother Mr. R. D. Baxter, Chattanooga, Tenn.: 14 
grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews also 
survive.  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday from the Mountain Home 
Baptist Church with the Revs. Glenn Drummond and Grady Kines officiating.  
Interment was in Oakland Cemetery, Rome, GA.  Grandsons served as pallbearers.  
Gammage Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. (The Cedartown Standard,
