She had been in decling health for several months, her condition becoming serious 10 days ago. Born in Gadsden, Ala, May 4, 1864, she moved to Floyd County at the age of 10. She was a membor of Friendship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 17, 1898. Mrs Sims is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs Seab Taylor, of Willis, Calif., and Mrs P.R. Wallace, of Route 3; three sons, J.B. Sims and W.H. Sims of Route 2, and H.C. Sims of Route 5; two sisters, Mrs George Pridgen, of Tampa, Fla, and Mrs O.T. Self Sr of Route 2, a brother, W.P. Walker, of Tampa; 27 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon in the Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home. The Rev S.H. Pendley and the Rev Floyd Walden will officiate. Interment will be in Berwin Cemetery. Six grandsons, Clarence, Thomas, William, J.B., L.P., and J.R. Sims will serve as pallbearers.
