GEORGIA News

A deplorable shooting affray occurred in Rome the other day in which Van 
Trammell was shot and it is feared fatally, by his brother Gus. The latter, 
who was drinking had declared vengeance against someone in Rome, and the 
former was trying to pacify him, when he told him to get out of his way or he 
would shoot him. His brother still entreated when Gus shot. It is said he 
was crazed with whiskey at the time.
