Obituary of Virgina Ferris Ligon Thrash 
"Death of Mrs. Thrash 

Etowah, Ga., June 3.  It is with a deep feeling of sorrow
that we perform the sad duty of recording the death of
Mrs. Virginia Thrash who died at her residence near this
place Sunday evening at 6 o'clock June 20 inst. 

Mrs. Thrash was 64 years of age.  She had been in bad
health for several years.  She was stricken with apoplexy
Friday while working in her garden.  She was unconscious
until she died.  Her remains were laid to rest in the
Silver Creek Primitive Baptist cemetery Monday evening at
five o'clock.  The funeral services were conducted by
Rev. Johnson.  She leaves a host of friends and relatives
to mourn her loss.  The bereaved family and kindred have
our heartfelt sympathy.

1895 - not June 20]
