Wallace, 28, died suddenly early this morning in a local hospital following a stroke of apoplexy. He had been connected with the Eagle Stove Works as a salesman for many years, and had a wide circle of friends throughout this section who are shocked by his sudden death. Mr. Wallace was born and reared in Floyd county. He was a member of the South Broad Methodist church. His widow is the former Thelma Davis. Besides her he is survived by a daughter, Elaine Wallace; father, J.W. Wallace; two brothers, Norman, of Rome, and Clarence Wallace, of Jasper, Ala. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the South Broad Methodist church, with the Rev. J. Foster Young officiating. Interment will be in the East View cemetery. Pallbearers, who are requested to meet at the Emmett Cole Funeral Home at 3:15 o'clock, include Grady Prewett, Henry Wooten, John Henry Sessler, Hunter Grant, Perry Wade and Harry Holland.
